Ms. Mirza

Hello. Welcome to my page.  My name is Ms. Mirza and I am an English Language Learner teacher at The Heights Community School.  I have been at this school since its beginning as The Heights and this is my 23rd year working in St. Paul Public Schools. I live and work in St. Paul and my children graduated from St. Paul Public Schools.  I love to learn and I hope to share that love of learning with students at The Heights.  As an ELL teacher I feel privileged to help children learn English as their second or third language.  I hope to encourage them to keep using and developing the language/languages of their home, so they can become multi-lingual.  This will be so helpful for them in their 21st century lives and will be a great advantage for them in their education, their personal lives, and their careers.

When I am not teaching or planning lessons, I also like to travel, dance, cook for family and friends, and to take walks in any of the many beautiful places in the Twin Cities.
